Impacts and Outcomes

In addition to specific impacts relating to individual program topics and focal areas (e.g. goals set, collaboration tools explored and adopted), our programs foster a wide range of positive outcomes in the workplace through our focus on the participants’ own experiences and building from their personal perspectives.

By focusing on their own experiences, participants’ understanding of working with others expands and deepens, bringing attention to the complexity of the human system their team creates and works within. This increased awareness and understanding, used in conjunction with our INRC framework for implementation, supports more purposeful and engaged team members committed to improving their team processes and functions, fostering a wide range of outcomes.

Immediate outcomes

  • Increased self awareness (needs, challenges, strengths, limitations)
  • Increased awareness of the team (needs, challenges, strengths, limitations)
  • Sharing of perspectives, understandings and assumptions
  • Increased efficiency and effectiveness
  • Deeper understanding of the complexity of group dynamics

Focusing on the individual experiences and building from their own insights and ideas, our programs validate those individual experiences of working within the team, supporting participants and creating space to express their own struggles, strengths and needs.

Mid-term outcomes

  • More positive and supportive workplace environment
  • Decreased stress
  • Conflict is negotiated and resolved more easily
  • Stronger interpersonal relationships
  • Deeper empathy and understanding of others’ needs
  • Attention paid to group processes, responding to new challenges with flexibility and solution-oriented perspective

The development we help foster, therefore, expands beyond the determined goals or targets of the specific intervention to create a sense of empowerment and efficacy in the individual participants who are better equipped to understand and address future issues or complications within the team.

Long-term outcomes

  • Supporting growth and development of employees through ‘soft skill’ development
  • Increased job satisfaction
  • Stronger sense of community, belonging and value of individual team members
  • Continued awareness and work leads to further development and increased strength of team over time
  • Increase rates of employee retention

Offering any type of training and development can help employers demonstrate that they value and appreciate employees but choosing participant-centred programming such as ours increases that sense as it creates space for individuals to feel valued, heard and appreciated.

Ultimately, by choosing training and development work that supports the individual, improves their every day workplace experiences, and empowers them to create a more positive workplace culture and environment, our clients end up with employees who are happy to stay in their current situation, lowering the costs of employee replacement while increasing corporate stability and consistency.
