Amy Chapeskie

Amy completed her PhD at the University of Waterloo.

Amy was introduced to Innersee while working as a child and youth worker through her placement at Choices For Youth. This is where she met Dave Varner who introduced her to Innersee Initiatives Inc.

With her previous professional and academic background centering on children and youth, Amy was drawn to the experiential learning side of facilitation, using leisure activities to identify and engage therapeutic and developmental processes in clients. Amy has over ten years of experience working with Innersee Initiatives Inc.

Her current graduate work focuses on learning in non-traditional environments, an interest further fostered and inspired by her work with the experiential learning model used at Innersee.

Amy is no stranger to challenge and discomfort stepping into new scenarios, an awareness and perspective she brings to her work as a facilitator asking clients to try new things, take risks, and move outside their own comfort zones. Amy enjoys the personal connections made with Innersee clients and watching them develop a deeper awareness of themselves and those around them.
